Gurkha Legend Aniversario Perfecto, 6x60, aged 3 years in the humidor.  Nice cigar, woody, and nutty.  Smooth smoke, recommended.

Cool 65 degree evening, rain on the horizon.

Vindicator - 02/16/2013

Posted: Saturday, February 16, 2013
Vindicator, toro, 6x50.  By Oliva cigars.  Comes out kicking, but settles into a nice cigar.  Half way through it is smooth with a little pepper.  Not too strong, but more than medium.  Nice.

Paired with The Macallan 15 year Single Malt.  Sweet and smooth, very mellow  ... one of the best scotches you can find, at Costco of all places.

65 degrees on a warm winter evening.

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos - 02/15/2013

Posted:
Arturo Fuente Don Carlos, Double Robusto, 5.75x52.  This is a great cigar.  Slighty sweet with taste of nuts and some spice.  Perfectly smooth, nice tobacco smoke flavor.  Has been in my humidor for about 2 years.

Paired with The Yamazaki 18 year Single Malt. Smooth as silk, nuts and bit of honey ... a nice scotch.

63 degrees on a warm beautiful winter afternoon.

601 Green Habano Oscuro - 12/02/2012

Posted: Sunday, December 2, 2012
601 Green Habano Oscuro, trabuca 6.25x58. Mild off the light, slight pepper and spice for a bit, then mellowing (but still bold) into a flavorful sweet spiciness. This is a strong and rich cigar, packed with smoke and flavor. Huge thing, one of those cigars you can feel in your gut.  Don't smoke on a empty stomach. A great cigar.

Paired with Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin Ale and sardines.

60 degrees after a huge wet rainy storm.

Perdomo Habano Corojo - 10/14/2012

Posted: Sunday, October 14, 2012
Perdomo Habano Corojo Robusto, 5x52. Aged in the humidor for 2 1/2 years, wicked nice spice and pepper.  Very nice cigar, probably can age longer.  The cellophane was deep rust color and the pre-light aroma was arousing.

Paired with 2007 Rosenblum Alexander Valley Harris Kratka Vineyard Zinfandel.  Nicely aged Zin.

73 degrees, windless perfect evening.

Tabantillas Romeros Natural - 09/10/2012

5 Vegas Triple A - 03/29/2011

Posted: Tuesday, March 29, 2011
5 Vegas AAA,  5x56,  aged over 1 year.  After a winter of sketchy weather, it is time to head back outside and start smoking again.  This maduro has aged magnificantly.  It was a great cigar before, and with a little time in the humidor it has become fantastic.  Strong barnyard odor, smooth as silk, meaty and chocolate.  Mild spiciness, quite a bit of pepper still with strong gut kick.  Great.

Paired with Greg Norman Sparkling Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.  A really nice inexpensive champagne.

69 degrees on a beautiful dry day.

Paired with Boyds Gourmet Medallion coffee.

61 degrees on a cold damp morning.

Diesel Unlimited - 12/11/2010

Posted:

Diesel Unlimited, d,7, Churchill 7x58.  Big new Diesel, but very disappointing.  Harsh and tarry off the light, stayed pretty harsh throughout, finally mellowing a bit a the end.  This was smoked 5 days off the truck, and is very young, may need a bit of time aging.  All in all a poor smoke considering the excellent Diesel Unholy Cocktail's excellence.
